24 Hour Art-A-Thon - Crafty Projects 1
Making your own jewelry… or gifts for others.
using diamond glaze I glued down some glass discs and bubbles to previously created backgrounds
Then I cut around the shapes… look at all this mess…
You end up with some rough edges…
I filed them with a nail file - that's emery board to some…
Then I wrote on them and glued on some bails…
seriously stinky adhesive, and it works really well…
and then they are beautiful… and each one is completely original and unique in the world...
cut down some quick card backs… hole punch and cut to the holes…
add strings… bag them… and they're ready to be strung on a cord or chain…
(string on the cabochons as they are now is purely to keep them in the packaging)
and if you have an agenda, well…
You can create pretties for friends. A spoil-it… for my fellow hostesses, these necklaces have already been taken to work and bragged off… complete with charms and "creative" packaging.
The pictures don't really do them justice… hopefully the recipients will have need for name tags in a clever way - since most people already know them and they know their own names.
it really is this easy to make something really fun and totally unique.
I'll show you some more of these steps later. For now… pretty glass eye-candy for the 10 o'clock hour.
