The LSS is this… I find doing CALS feels forced. I join and then I miss a week or two of the weekly prompts and the next thing I know I’m feeling apologetic or rushed and uncomfortable and I have a new WIP on my shelf that I may or may not have been able to download the “missed prompts” for to complete someday. The fast people work fast and the rest of us have questions and it just ultimately feels frustrating and defeating not to finish.
I wanted a crochet along that gave me everything up front, set times I could plan for and provided me with support. And so this fun format was born in my mind and together we’ll make it a great fun way to be calm and crochet!
The “Cozy CAL” is an idea I came up with when I realized how many times I got behind because life just gets busier than I wish it would. Or because crochet just wasn’t what I wanted to do on the “scheduled days required to keep caught up.” This is my response to those moments.
Thank you for joining my Cozy Cal… I am giving you everything up front. You have the schedule, materials list and pattern. Some of you will leap on out and get going and never look back. And some of you will need additional help. The schedule will let you coordinate with me, the materials list gives you time to gather what you need and the pattern allows those of you who don’t need to ask questions and have what you need to get going right away. I only ask that those of you who do not need the extra help try to come around on scheduled days and share your experience with the folks who might need some help. 😀 Yeah, I said it. COME BACK. I’m not the only “yarn expert” anywhere on the planet, I don’t even know if I’d call myself an expert, that’s just my level of skill when measured by other pattern writer’s definitions of knowledge of stitches and techniques. I’m learning stuff literally every single day. For those of you who can run with this pattern and feel so inclined, please come back on scheduled days to help answer questions or offer your suggestions and methods or tips. I may learn something and that makes me happy!
So lets begin with the stitches you'll need to know for Part One - Granny Square Coasters
